Available from November 9, 2021 in digital form only, Airbnb gift cards can be used to book accommodation and also to purchase experiences offered by the platform.

However, many countries have reopened their borders and accommodation reservations in France and abroad have started to rise again. A few weeks before Christmas, Airbnb is launching its gift cards, which can be purchased online exclusively from November 9th. You will be able to choose a visual and the amount of the gift card and then personalize your message. Once paid, the gift card is sent instantly to the recipient by text or email. These gift cards can be used to book accommodation, but also to buy experiences developed by Airbnb. Gift card credit can be used at any time, with no time limit.
To connect to Airbnb to book accommodation or manage your reservation, click on the “Connection” tab at the top right of the site’s home page. You can then connect via your Facebook account, your Google account or by indicating your e-mail address and your password chosen when you registered on the site.
When booking accommodation on Airbnb, you will incur service fees for credit card processing and services such as 24-hour customer support in the event of a problem. This commission is usually less than 13% of the booking subtotal (the nightly rate plus cleaning and additional fees). As a host, please be aware that you are subject to these service fees. They are 3% each time a reservation is made on the website.
Travelers who rebook will not be reimbursed under the new force majeure policy if they cancel due to COVID-19, except in the event that they are ill. So please make sure that your host’s cancellation policy is flexible enough.
Once connected to Airbnb via the website or the application, you must indicate the destination, the dates and the number of travelers for your next vacation. After having refined your search by using the filters (room or entire accommodation, price range, equipment…), the advertisements corresponding to all your criteria appear. It is now a question of making the best use of the site to check if everything is correct in order to avoid unpleasant surprises when you arrive on site.
