The resumption of air traffic begins this summer at Nice-Côte d’Azur airport, with the resumption of long-haul flights and new destinations in Europe this summer.

[Updated May 4, 2021 2:07 PM] A French international airport located on the French Riviera in the Alpes Maritimes, Nice Airport welcomes nearly 14 million travelers each year. With more than 1,000 flights per week expected at the heart of the season, summer 2021, compared to 1,400 in summer 2019, the Côte d’Azur “will find this summer a wide range of connections to leisure or business destinations”.

The first provincial airport has announced that it will serve seven countries outside Europe, “subject to border openings”: Algiers, Tunis, Israel and Turkey, but also Dubai with Emirates, New York JFK with Delta Airlines and from the other New York airport of Newark with La Compagnie.

New routes will be launched to several French destinations: Brest and Nantes with Transavia, Lille with Volotea, La Rochelle with Easyjet and to Europe: Chisinau in Moldova, London Heathrow, Prague, Menorca in the Balearic Islands and Southampton.

At Nice Airport Terminal 1, check-in (A, B, C, D, E, F) as well as flight departures and arrivals are on the ground floor while boarding is done on the first floor (at the same level as the luxury boutiques, the vaccination center, the Information point, the banks and the exchange offices). On the 2nd level, you will find many bars and restaurants (Joe and the juice, La tarte tropézienne, La plage by Thierry Marx, Starbucks, Prêt-à-Manger…). Nearly 40 airlines are based there, including Air Transat, British Airways, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Ryanair and Transavia.

At Nice Airport Terminal 2, arrivals are on the ground floor while check-in (A, B, C, D) and boarding are on the first floor. On the 2nd floor you will find bars and restaurants (Ladurée, Comptoir Daily, Paul, Quick…) as well as shops, lounges, a pharmacy or even a gas station. Nearly 30 airlines are based there, including Air France, EasyJet, Emirates, Finnair, La Compagnie and Wizz Air.
