“The Night Agent” is a real hit on Netflix which topped the most-watched series this week. Will that be enough to ensure a season 2?

Released on March 23, this action series topped the top 10 most-watched series worldwide on the streaming platform this week, with 168.7 million cumulative viewing hours already. She is thus ahead of the second season of Shadow and Bone in the ranking, a feat. The Night Agent follows a junior FBI agent, who becomes embroiled in a dangerous mission that impacts the American presidency.
Is a season 2 of The Night Agent possible? This surprise success of The Night Agent, adaptation of Matthew Quirk’s novel, obviously raises the question of a possible sequel. However, it is still too early to know if the series will be entitled to a season 2 on Netflix. As is often the case, the streaming platform is waiting to know the audiences for the series before renewing it or not. However, series creator Shawn Ryan let Deadline know that he already has ideas for a possible sequel to the action series. All it takes is for Netflix to give the green light.
