Season 3 of 'Outer Banks: Everything We Know

The Netflix series proved that they were wrong in season 2. It left everyone wanting more, as well as season 3.

Season 2 saw John B (Charles Esten), facing Ward (Chase Stokes), once again. The shocking developments did not end there. John B’s father, Big John ( Charles Halford), remains alive in Barbados. He summoned his ex-alliance Carla Limbrey Elizabeth Mitchell and told her that he would need to help him if he wanted to find a supposedly healing cloak.

Esten spoke to Us Weekly exclusively in July 2021 about season 2’s finale. He teased that Ward’s altercation against John B would only strengthen the teen and his relationship with his daughter.

“That’s an amazing moment when he’s like, “What’s more important for me?” My anger? My anger? “What is more important? What’s more important? Can I please my dark side right now? Or, she can be my light. She is my light side. Do I choose to go that way? That’s the essence of those decisions. He’s our hero, and [Ward] not.

Netflix has yet not to renew Outer Banks season 3. However, more episodes are likely after the success of season 2. Its release in July 2021 was a huge success. Esten predicts that there is no limit to what lies ahead.

“I don’t believe the writers know,” he said. The actor said that he loved that about them. It’s almost like Houdini was doing a magic trick. He says, “OK, I’m going put myself in this straight jacket, and hang myself upside-down by this chain. And this train is coming,” and people ask, “How do you escape it?”. “I haven’t figured out that part yet!”

Hope for JJ & Kiara

After spotting their chemistry and after her disastrous season 2 relationship with Pope the fans started shipping their best friends JJ and Kiara. Bailey told US that Kiara could still be with anyone at this stage. “I believe if there are scenes that truly bring them together, then why don’t they? However, I doubt you have seen enough scenes of the two of them together.

Pankow explained to Us JJ felt “left out” in season 2, when Kiara and Pope tried again, but he still believed in the possibility of the pairing. He said that while he believes there will be a moment and a place for them to talk, it is not yet as he has so many other issues.

Jonas Pate and Josh Pate are more positive about Jiara than the cast. Josh stated that teen romance and teen soap were a major part of the show in Entertainment Weekly July 2021. We wanted to explore the Ki/Pope relationship, but we are aware of the feelings of the fans about JJ and Ki. That was something we wanted to do for the third season. It wasn’t something we wanted to do immediately. However, it was something that caught our attention, just like the audience’s reactions to JJ and Kiara’s romance and their desire to continue. We were open to the idea because it seemed like an interesting idea, but we decided to leave it until season 3.

Cocreator said that relationships will be a major part of the next season. He said that this was the plan. It was about architecting romances for season 3.

Bailey told Us in December 2021 that she was very curious to see where the story goes next. “I am on the edge with the direction the writers will take this. She shared that she was passionate about Outer Banks. “I believe they can’t go wrong in the storyline anywhere. If Rudy and I teamed up, [it] would be really sick.”

What’s the Worst Ward?

The Whose Line is It Anyway? alum also suggested to TVLine that Ward “wrote off [Carla]” in August 2021 as a threat. He explained that he doesn’t consider her such. He seems to be able to overcome the arrogance of it being such a difficult war. These are his mistakes. You never know when he will forget there are other sharks.

They are Coming Back!

This just in from Poguelandia: Netflix announced that Outer Banks would return for a third season in December 2021. The stars of the popular series shared the news via social media, with Stokes opening the video with a drumroll. “Season 3 baby! “Let’s go,” he declared in the clip. “We’re coming home.”
