CAMPING. The last film in the Camping saga was released in 2016. Since then, can we hope to find the Flots Bleus campsite in the cinema?

[Updated June 12, 2022 at 8:45 p.m.] It has been several years since Fabien Onteniente, director of the Camping trilogy, announced a fourth film at Les Flots bleus. It was in 2016, on Europe 1, that the French filmmaker announced the construction of this new episode of the adventures of Patrick Chirac: “See you with Franck [Dubosc, ndlr] on 5 [September] for Campsite 4. We are going to activate the levers of the campsite, since a lot of people are asking us to. It will surely revolve around grandfatherhood. Patrick Chirac is going to become a grandfather, we haven’t seen him much as a father.” Despite these announcements made following the release of Camping 3, the film was never either started or officially announced.

In 2021, Franck Dubosc completely showers the hopes of Camping fans who want to see a new film: the actor reveals that “you have to know when to stop”, this so as not to make the film too much. Franck Dubosc had already confided in 2019: “I no longer want to put on the swimsuit. We have worn out the character, even I can no longer play it well”. In 2018, Fabien Onteniente was also very pessimistic about the possibility of a continuation of the franchise: “[Camping 4], we will never do that one!” It therefore seemed totally impossible to find the campers of the Flots bleus one day…
