Jerome Solomon, the director-general of health, explained the new ruling regarding Paris and the Bouches-du-Rhone on France Inter by “logical reasons : there are a lot of people, these are areas of urban density, there are a lot of flows of people, lots of transport, lots of young people who have a social activity intensity.””We monitor also twenty departments that are above a certain only of vigilance”, he added.
