Alum of Dancing With the Stars, who shared her post on Tuesday, February 22, in Australian Timezones, a throwback picture of her father holding a snake as she explored the land — to celebrate Steve’s birthday.

“I love you with my whole heart. After referring to Grace Warrior, her 10-month old daughter she said “Your legacy lives on.”

Steve, 44, died in September 2006 after being pierced with a stingray barb. His wife Terri Irwin and their two children, Bindi, and son Robert Irwin are his survivors.

Bindi, 18 and Robert, 19 expressed their love for Robert on Steve Irwin Day 2021.

Bindi, who was married Chandler Powell in 2020, spoke previously about how her father’s lifestyle inspired the middle name.

In a February 2021 interview, she said that her father was the first to coin the term “Wildlife Warrior”. Being a Wildlife Warrior is to speak up for others who are unable to speak for themselves. Our baby wildlife warrior has been the name we have used for her. “I know deep down that she will make the world a better place by her own efforts.”
