BLACK MIRROR SEASON 6. “Black Mirror” returns for its sixth season on Netflix this Thursday, June 15, 2023. But when can you watch new episodes?

Black Mirror signs its big return after four years of absence. Charlie Brooker’s British anticipation series returns for a sixth season this Thursday, June 15, 2023. It is from 9:01 a.m. that the five new episodes will be binge-watcher on the Netflix streaming platform.

The five new episodes of Black Mirror will each explore aspects of our relationship to technology. In this season 6, well-known actors will play the role of Salma Hayek, Ben Barnes, Michael Cera and Himesh Patel for episode 1 (“Joan is horrible”), Daniel Portman and John Hannah in the episode 2 (“Loch Henry”), Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett and Kate Mara in episode 3 (“My heart for life”), Danny Ramirez and Zazie Beetz in episode 4 (“Mazey Day”) and finally Anjana Vasan and Paapa Essiedu in episode 5 (“Demon 79”).

Black Mirror is a British science fiction anthology series created by Charlie Brooker. First broadcast from 2011 to 2014 on British television, it has been produced by Netflix since 2016. Its particularity is that all the episodes, which last more than 60 minutes, present a different plot, cast and settings, while having a common main topic: the influence of new technologies in the world (the title “Black Mirror” referring to screens that reflect our reflection)

Each story is an analysis of new technologies, a caricature of our modernity and invites us to reflect by addressing themes such as the world of work, politics, romantic relationships, social networks, video games… The episodes being independent each other, the different seasons of the series feature a long list of actors and actresses such as Miley Cyrus, Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones), Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049), Tom Cullen (Knightfall), Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders), Jodie Whitaker (Doctor Who), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones) or Cristin Milioti (How I Meet Your Mother), among others

Consisting of five episodes, the sixth season of Black Mirror would be “the most unpredictable, the most unclassifiable and the most unexpected of all”, according to Netflix. Charlie Brooker, the series’ creator, told Tudum, “I started this season by deliberately upsetting some of my own principles about what to expect,” he explains. “Therefore, this time around, in addition to the more usual Black Mirror codes, there are also a few new elements […]. The stories still respect the tone of Black Mirror as much as ever, but they are more varied than ever and include many twists.” Tune in from June 15, 2023 on Netflix to check it out.
