Much to the delight of DCU fans, Superman also makes a notable appearance in the film, resurrected after the events of Batman v Superman. During the filming of the film for Warner at the time, the British actor did not display the face desired by the production. Because Henry Cavill had to keep a substantial mustache on his face. The reason: he was shooting in parallel the film Mission Impossible 6 by Christopher McQuarrie, for Paramount studios.

According to the Huffington Post, these digital edits would have cost $7,000 for every minute on screen.
