TF1 is broadcasting the film “Justice League” this Sunday, June 18, 2023. A film whose production turned out to be complex and for which the mustache of one of the actors raised questions…

Enthusiasts will no doubt have seen it many times before, but they might just be tempted one more time. Justice League is scheduled on TF1 this Sunday, June 18, 2023, from 9 p.m. The blockbuster, released in 2017, boasts an incredible cast, both in terms of characters and cast: Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) decide to put together a new team of superheroes. Helped by Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), they will try to eradicate the apocalyptic threat that represents Steppenwolf.

Much to the delight of DCU fans, Superman also makes a notable appearance in the film, resurrected after the events of Batman v Superman. Enough to allow Henry Cavill to put on his red cape to interpret the Kryptonian. However, we advise you to observe the face of the most famous superhero. A detail should quickly jump to the eyes of the most observant.

During the filming of the film for Warner at the time, the British actor did not display the face desired by the production. Because Henry Cavill had to keep a substantial mustache on his face. The reason: he was shooting in parallel the film Mission Impossible 6 by Christopher McQuarrie, for Paramount studios.

Artistic requirement, administrative rigor or perhaps a desire to tease a competitor: Paramount simply refused to allow Henry Cavill to break his contract and shave his mustache for the purposes of filming Justice League. Warner then had no choice but to remove, in post-production (phase following the shooting), the annoying tuft of hair in question, which came to block the face of his superhero. A meticulous work that will have left some traces in the final editing, a strange feeling for moviegoers, but also a small slate. According to the Huffington Post, these digital edits would have cost $7,000 for every minute on screen.
