THE WITCHER NETFLIX. The end of The Witcher season 3 will not be visible right away. When to watch the sequel on Netflix?

The Witcher has topped the list of most-watched shows on Netflix since season 3 went live last Thursday. But fans only discovered the first episodes. The last three episodes will be posted on the streaming platform on July 27, at 9:01 a.m. These episodes are not to be missed, since they will sign the definitive departure of Henry Cavill, interpreter of Geralt de Riv, from the series. He will be replaced in season 4 by Liam Hemsworth.

According to series executive producer Steve Gaub, the decision to split The Witcher season 3 into two parts was prompted by the release, also in two parts, of the fourth season of Stranger Things: “During production, Stranger Things Season 4 arrived in two parts, and we found that intriguing. The Witcher Season 3 also features a significant breaking point, ideal for such a maneuver, but previously unplanned,” explained he at the microphone of The Verge media. This choice was motivated by the desire to “give the fans” “the anticipation and the debates” after a cliffhanger. “This Season 3 ticked the boxes to do that.” We will therefore have to wait less than a month to know the sequel to The Witcher.

Season 3 of The Witcher marks the departure of Henry Cavill as The Witcher. The latter, who has never hidden being a big fan of video games and the saga of Andrzej Sapkowski, will leave the series at the end of the last episode, on July 27, having claimed disagreements on the artistic turn taken by the series, and more specifically on his character. The Witcher has been renewed for a season 4, but it will be Liam Hemsworth who will play Geralt of Rivia this time.

The Witcher is a medieval fantasy series adapting Andrzej Sapkowski’s literary saga. The first season available on Netflix installs the stakes and the different protagonists. Geralt de Riv is a Witcher, a hunter of monsters who confronts them to find his place in the world. Her fate, however, is mysteriously linked by that of the princess of Cintra, Ciri, and the magician Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Convinced that Yennefer’s life was taken away at the Battle of Mount Sodden, Geralt of Riv takes Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, her childhood home in Kaer Morhen. As the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons struggle for supremacy outside his walls, he must protect the maiden from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses.

Season 3 of The Witcher is split into two bursts of episodes: the first is released on June 29, 2023 on Netflix. It will then be necessary to wait until July 27 to discover the conclusion of this burst of episodes. Season 3 also marks Henry Cavill’s last as Geralt of Rivia, who passes the torch to Liam Hemsworth for Season 4. Season 3 also includes Robbie Amell (Gallatin), Hugh Skinner ( Prince Radovid), Meng’er Zhang (Milva) or Christelle Elwin (Mistle).

It is on the Netflix platform that the series The Witcher is broadcast exclusively in streaming. Subscribers know it, all you have to do is pay around ten euros each month to take advantage of a more than supplied catalog of series and films. Regarding The Witcher, Netflix applies the same distribution method as for its other original series, namely the posting of new episodes in their entirety from 9:01 am French time.
