For the first time, the multi-starred chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo will be on stage to interpret itself. Will be the protagonist of ‘Put your heart’ (from the title of one of his books), the absolute novelty of the format Work, Live Cooking on stage at the Teatro Coccia of Novara, next Sunday at 20.30 hours.
The subject, written by journalist Luke Baccolini, who has worked at four hands with the librettist Vincenzo De Vivo, part of this new work in the kitchen of the chef who has, exceptionally, a series of lectures to a limited number. The dramatic structure of the work provides for the ‘traditional’ succession of arias, recitatives, solos and duets alternating with moments of spoken chef, who was engaged in the scene in the creation of a real plate of haute cuisine, its famous linguine with baby squid-spiked sauce and rye bread.
“it’s a thrill to go on stage – said Cannavacciuolo – When I went in for the first time at the bistro I have in the management side of the theater, I thought: ‘who knows if one day I will be able to get on the stage’. It is a dream come true. But they are also very satisfied with the climate that I have found, with young singers full of enthusiasm, and that really… put us to the heart”.
Cannavacciuolo has two Michelin stars at his local the main Villa Crespi in Orta San Giulio, while a star to head to his bistro in Novara and Turin. © Reproduction reserved
