MISS POITOU-CHARENTES 2023. Miss Poitou-Charentes’ scarf was given to Lounès Texier on September 1, 2023. She is now in the running for the Miss France election.
[Updated September 4, 2023 at 5:07 p.m.] Lounès Texier enters the competition. The young beauty queen was elected Miss Poitou-Charentes 2023 in an election held at Futuroscope in Poitiers on September 1, 2023. At only 18, she won against 15 other candidates and ahead of 600 spectators. She is now one of the candidates for the Miss France 2024 contest, scheduled for December 16 in Dijon.
Lounès Texier also stands out as the second (only!) candidate from Deux-Sèvres to compete for Miss France. If we do not yet know what studies the young woman is heading towards, it is a safe bet that her professional projects will be put on hold by her year of reign. On Instagram, Miss Poitou-Charentes 2023 shows off her artistic talents, particularly as a makeup artist!
Miss Poitou-Charentes is a competition that elects a candidate for Miss France each year. Several young women come forward in the hope of becoming the ambassador of Charente, Vienne, Charente-Maritime, and Deux-Sèvres. Since its creation, two Miss Poitou-Charentes have been elected Miss France: Monique Chiron in 1959 and Véronique Fagot in 1977. Two have been replacements for Miss France: Monique Boucher in 1966 and Claudine Cassereau in 1972.
