Fourth day for the 2022 World Athletics Championships with the women’s marathon, the continuation of the heptathlon, the 200m series or even the men’s high jump final which had earned a tie at the last Tokyo Olympics. For the moment, these Worlds are well negotiated by the USA with already 14 medals on the clock including 6 in gold at the time of writing.
Among the French, the results are for the moment very mixed with Quentin Bigot’s 4th place in the shot put final, 11th place in the 10,000 meters by Gressier and above all the disappointment in 110 m hurdles with no French in final despite the presence of Sasha Zhoya, Pascal Martinot-Lagarde and Just Kwaou-Mathey in the semi-finals.
For this 2022 edition, the Worlds are taking place for the first time in history in the United States, at the prestigious Hayward Field Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. Located on the University of Oregon campus, Hayward Field has hosted track and field meetings since 1921.
The 2022 World Athletics Championships will be contested from Friday, July 15, 2022 at 9:05 a.m. local time (for CET time, add 9 a.m.) with Men’s Hammer Throw, and will end on July 24 at 7:50 p.m. with Relay 4 x 400m women.
