YOU SEASON 5. After the second part of You season 4 aired on Netflix, is a fifth season possible on the streaming platform?

[Updated March 9, 2023 at 2:46 p.m.] On Thursday, March 9, Netflix aired the second part of season 4 of You, its series carried by Penn Badgley. In fact, the fourth season of this thriller series is complete and viewers who subscribe to Netflix are already wondering if a season 5 of You is possible. At this stage, the platform has not yet mentioned a potential sequel to its series, so it is still too early to talk about it. As often, Netflix remains attentive to the audience figures but also to the budget of its productions before announcing the start of new seasons. The first echoes of hearings concerning the first part of the fourth season were however quite impressive. If this trend continues with the second part, we can expect a sequel with a season 5 of You if the creators have a proposal that interests the platform.

Netflix subscribers have already been able to discover the first part of season 4 of You. The psychopath played by Penn Badgley develops a new obsession with Kate, an independent single mother who is suspicious of the protagonist (rightly!). At the end of the fifth episode of this fourth season, we also discover that Jonathan Moore’s blackmailer would actually be Rhys, who hopes that Joe joins him to kill their loved ones in common. But Joe seems to refuse to come to that…

Part 2 has some big surprises in store for fans, since, as the trailer below tells us, a character makes an unexpected return… Spoilers alert. It is indeed Love, his ex-wife, who is supposed to be dead…

You is a television series first broadcast on Lifetime and then on Netflix since its season 2. It adapts the first novels of Caroline Kepnes’ literary trilogy over its first two seasons, before offering a story unpublished since season 3. This series centers on the escapades of a serial killer who develops murderous obsessions with the women he falls in love with.
