This week, subscribers of the various giants of the sector can discover the live action adaptation of a cult manga, but also a mini-series which retraces a sordid Spanish news story on Netflix. After the adaptation by Philippe Lacheau, the hero of City Hunter (cult manga sold more than 50 million copies) returns in a new live-action Japanese film. This action comedy follows the adventures of Nicky Larson, an underworld cleaner in the streets of Tokyo. With one major difference: the hero is less sexist than in the original work. The Asunta affair recounts a high-profile news item that hit the headlines in Spain: the murder of young Asunta, a teenager found dead, drugged before being asphyxiated. His adoptive parents were quickly suspected. All six episodes are available on Netflix.
Eric and Ramzy go in search of tomorrow’s comedy talents in Amazon’s new competition. The duo will travel across France and Belgium in search of new gems in the industry. A fantasy series that met its audience on Netflix, Sandman is expanding its universe with a spin-off series. In Dead Boys Detectives, two young men who died in dramatic circumstances remain on earth to investigate crimes committed by occult forces. The series can be seen on Netflix.
Fans of American series will recognize them: Grant Gustin (The Flash) and Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) play two single people who don’t get along but who find themselves forced to date because of their dogs in this new romantic comedy , available on Prime Video.
The hero of This is Us, Justin Hartley, plays the main role of the detective series Tracker, namely an old lone wolf always ready to lend a hand to the local authorities in their quest for the truth. Episodes are currently available on Disney.
