It was directed by Tyler Spindel and was co-produced by American comedian and comedian Adam Sandler through his production company Happy Maddison Productions, whose collaboration with Netflix has been very fruitful since 2015. Adam Sandler has produced more than a dozen films produced for the platform, including parts 1 and 2 of Murder Mystery in which he also plays one of the heroes, with Jennifer Aniston.

In the cast of this comedy, it is the ex-James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, who plays the colorful stepfather, alongside the actress Ellen Barkin (In the skin of a blonde, Animal Kingdom). Their fictional daughter takes on the features of Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries). The title role of the banker-robber goes to Adam DeVine, also co-producer of the film, known for his role as Andy Bailey in Modern Family.

Owen, a young bank manager, meets his in-laws during the engagement with his girlfriend, Parker. In the process, his establishment is robbed by a group of criminals, the “Ghost Bandits”. Owen thinks he recognizes his in-laws. But when his future wife is taken hostage by Rehan, another criminal, the banker chooses to help his in-laws rob another bank to provide the ransom.
