After temperatures rather mild weather in recent weeks, France will meet successively two peaks of heat next week. The temperatures can climb up to 40 degrees on Monday with “brief but very strong heat stroke,” warns the Weather network.

“A cell of high pressure goes up rapidly from Spain to the north-east of France. It directs a stream of the southern sector of origin saharan africa, which results in a peak of very high heat,” says the Weather network. “Monday, the country is expected to experience a surge of high pressure temporary, with the sun and a heat spike, with an average of 30 °C on the northern half and 35 °C on the southern half”, said Weather France.

Strong heat in the South-West

It will be particularly hot in the south-west. Of the peaks “of 39°C or 40°C will be possible between the Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrenees”, says the Weather network. The temperatures will be more fresh for the Hauts-de-France, Normandy or the Loire valley with a sky that will be more hazy. Brittany will be the exact opposite of the south-west with temperatures reaching around 18 degrees “on the beaches of Finistère”.

Thursday to Saturday, a new peak of heat should take place. “The bar 40°C is likely to be reached in the south of France next Friday,” says the Weather network. In Paris, the 35°C will be easily achieved. The peak of heat should give way to thunderstorms on Sunday.
