the general inspectorate of the national police (IGPN) has been seized after the use by police of a gun in electrical impulse. Its use has resulted in serious burns to a person during a judicial seizure near Caen last Friday.

the arrival of a bailiff, accompanied by police officers with a view to the seizure, a man was doused in gasoline and threatened to set it on fire with a lighter to Saint-Contest, in the outskirts of Caen, according to local media. One of the police officers, according to witnesses, used a gun to electric impulse, apparently with the intention of stopping the man in his project, and the man was ignited. Badly burned, he has since been hospitalized.

Investigation for “involuntary injury”

“It appears that, in the intention to prevent a fatal act, the action of the police has been able to contribute, unfortunately, the result of drama that followed.
