The family of Cedric Chouviat, died in January in Paris during a traffic control heated, wrote Friday to Emmanuel Macron and ask him to intervene so that the police recently implicated in the investigation on the death of the driver is suspended, have informed his lawyers.

“It is not (…) undermine the presumption of innocence but, pre-emptively, taking action against officials, which, certainly, went beyond the exercise of their duties being the cause of death”, they explain. Three police officers have been indicted for “involuntary manslaughter” in the beginning of July and placed under judicial control. A fourth member of the crew, who had filmed the scene of the arrest, for its part, has been put under status of witness assisted.
A public debate, essential
