“Screams of terror”
Narumi Kurosaki, a 21 year-old student, lived on the university campus of Besançon, where it was seen for the last time on 4 December 2016. Nicolas Zepeda, son of a wealthy family in chile, was her ex-boyfriend. They had met in 2014 in Japan, where he was studying. This son of a telecom mogul in had fallen madly in love, and had even presented to his family.
According to the survey, shortly before the disappearance of Narumi, the two young people had, however, distanced themselves, and the japanese girl student had started a new relationship, arousing the jealousy of Nicolas Zepeda who was then in his country. Stephen Coats was made in April 2019 in Chile with a magistrate and two investigators. “The speed with which the chilean courts, in a context of Covid, has responded to our request for extradition is outstanding,” praised Stephen Coats. According to the investigators, Nicolas Zepeda was made at the beginning of December 2016 to Besançon to see the young woman. On the evening of 4 December, they were back together in the housing of Narumi. That night, according to the prosecutor, several students were heard “howls of terror, cries”. But “no one has alerted the police”.
“Profile pervasive and disturbing”
after the location of his rental car, December 6, 2016 at the dawn, the suspect was made in a wooded area, to the east of Dole in the Jura, where the investigators think that it got rid of the body. A few days earlier, the young man had bought matches and a canister of flammable product. Despite significant research, the body has never been found.
The former prosecutor of Besançon, france, Edwige Roux-Morizot had mentioned at the time of the facts a “profile pervasive and disturbing” about the suspect. The latter, in a letter sent to the chilean authorities had told going to see Narumi in Besançon at the beginning of December 2016 and that they were then “realized that they were still in love”. He claimed to have spent part of the night of 4 to 5 December with her, but claimed to be then left alone.
The family of Narumi “hope that it will be a line of defense different,” “find the body of Narumi, that’s all that matters,” said their lawyer, ms. Sylvie Galley, with the announcement in may of the extradition of the Chilean.
Narumi was a brilliant student, after a very modest. She was a recipient of a scholarship for his studies at the Centre linguistique appliqué (CLA), Besançon, france. The CLA has collected 4500 euros of donations via a pot in line to financially assist the family of the young woman to go to France for a possible trial that, that whatever happens, will not before next year.
