Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst just reached major milestones in the course of their careers. The Power of the Dogs stars and real-life couples received their first Oscar nominations on Tuesday, February 8. Kirsten, 39, was nominated as Best Actress in a Supporting Role, while Jesse, 33 earned a spot for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role category.
The day was also a significant moment for Kirsten and Jesse, who share two children.
She said Variety that it was “just so crazy to be married and have our first nominations together” on February 8. It’s like reading a storybook. Do you see what I’m referring to? It’s amazing. It’s amazing.”
Kirsten gave a rare glimpse into her home life. She said that she received the news from the couple’s children Ennis 3, and James at 5-months. She was “crying” as well as “screaming” with excitement.

While she was on the phone talking to her mom, her manager called and informed her that Jesse had been nominated.
She recalled, “I started screaming and I ended up hanging up the phone.” “Then one of my publicists called because she wanted to tell me, and I just screamed at them. Jesse called me and I was the one who told him.
She said, “He was little shell shocked.”
They met while filming season 2 of FX’s drama series Fargo . Jesse fell in love with Kirsten from the beginning.
He shared his love for Kirsten’s work at PaleyFest this year. “She’s a wonderful person and we both have fun with the material.
Jesse and Kirsten’s onscreen chemistry quickly turned into a real life romance, and they got married in January 2018. Alumna of Bring It On, Kirsten previously stated that she knew Jesse was “going be a soulmate” since the time they were onscreen spouses on Fargo.
