What is the Visa pour l’image festival?
For 35 years, the Perpignan International Photojournalism Festival, Visa pour l’image, has been one of the main photography events in France and internationally. Seen as “the biggest magazine in the world”, it brings together, over a fortnight, all the major international players in the press and photography. This festival is a testimony to daily violence that photojournalists around the world refuse to see trivialized. A jury of photo directors will award, during the event, the “Visas d’or” prizes among all the subjects seen during the year (published or not) in the categories Visa d’or de la Presse Quotidienne, Visa d ‘or News, Visa d’or Magazine, as well as the winner of the Young Reporter Prize from the city of Perpignan, Visa d’or Paris Match News, and the Visa d’or Occitanie / Pyrenees Mediterranean Region, Magazine category… Find the full festival program on the Visa pour l’image website.
