shopper-leaves-full-cart-due-to-walmarts-checkout-policy

Customers been getting all riled up about Walmart’s staffing levels and checkout system, and it’s causing quite a stir. One shopper recently had a not-so-great experience when they found all the self-checkouts closed and only two regular lanes open. The poor guy got so fed up that he just ditched his cart and took to social media to vent his frustrations.

He took to X and said, “How is it 9pm and Walmart has all self checkout closed and two lanes open… With 25 people standing in line… I left the whole cart of good right in there and left. Ridiculous.” Talk about a rough shopping trip, right?

Another customer also had a bone to pick with Walmart after claiming they called customer service nine times about an order issue and felt like they were being ignored. They even threw in a “WTF is going on!” for good measure. The retailer did respond and apologize, but it’s unclear if the problem got sorted out in the end.

And let’s not forget about the lack of staff members on shift causing a headache for customers. One person on social media called out Walmart for closing the Scan & Go section early and not having enough registers open. They were left waiting in line with just three items and were not too happy about it. Walmart did ask for more details in a DM, but who knows what happened after that.

Walmart’s Scan and Go system was supposed to make things easier for shoppers by letting them scan items as they shop and pay without waiting in long lines. All they had to do was download the Walmart app, click on Scan and Go, scan each item, check out at a self-checkout kiosk, and then leave the store. Sounds simple enough, right?

But with all these complaints flying around, it seems like Walmart might need to step up their game when it comes to staffing and checkout procedures. Maybe they’ll take these issues into consideration and make some changes. Who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see.
