Davide Sanclimenti has responded to his ex Ekin-Su Cülcülo?lu’s ‘lies for the final time’ Ekin-Su, 30, confirmed she had – for a second time – parted ways with the Italian businessman, 29, in February this year, blaming a ‘rollercoaster of ups and downs’ for their separation after their relationship became marred by cheating allegations (pictured on Love Island in 2022)The TV personality continued: ‘All I wanted was to be left alone so we could all move on peacefully. However, my ex has repeatedly dragged my name and reputation through the mud to make herself look better and boost her own popularity. I can’t tolerate this any longer. It’s time to set the record straight.’ The former couple met while starring on ITV’s Love Island in 2022 and went on to win the series, despite having a drama-filled time in the villa. During one explosive argument on the show, Davide famously branded Ekin-Su a ‘liar and an actress’ who was ‘as fake as the Louis Vuitton from China’.Standing by his comments he revealed: ‘What she doesn’t mention is that she was seemingly in a relationship at the time and only ended it when she made it into the Love Island Villa. ‘Ekin also says she cut off her ex (who contacted me this year) in her book but she continued to communicate with him while we were together. ‘So, I stand by my previous descriptions of her as “a liar, an actress,” and “fake like a Louis Vuitton from China” as they were clearly accurate.’Ekin-Su said on Abbey Clancy’s podcast this week: ‘When he swore at my mum in Italy, he told her to “eff off”, because my mum didn’t want him to fake propose to me.’Whatever he thought she was going to say, that wasn’t that. He fake proposed to me in Italy, he thought it was funny to arrange a paparazzi, I’m not a toy.’ Speaking on Abbey Clancy’s podcast Exhibit A this week, the Turkish actress claimed that the couple reached breaking point after Davide arranged a ‘fake proposal’ which ended in him ‘swearing at her mum’ (pictured last week) Denying her latest claims, Davide, has hit back at his ex after she ‘used him for fame’ and said he’s had enough of his ‘reputation being dragged through the mud’ (pictured last month)She added: ‘You can’t do that to me, I’m a human being with feelings and I actually thought he was going to propose.”This was two years down the line with my mum and brother there. My mum just said, “Don’t do that”, and he swore at my mum.’Davide told MailOnline: ‘Ekin’s comments on Abby Clancy’s podcast about our final breakup needs to be addressed. Yes, I was provoked into losing my temper, but this was because her mother was interfering in our relationship and our work life.”Her mother’s intervention in front of the Colosseum was the breaking point for me. I never got down on one knee and I never surprised Ekin with a fake proposal.’Ekin and I were discussing creating entertaining content for our socials as a couple as we usually would do. I suggested making a funny video detailing a quirky/comedic proposal for our social media content to prank our followers and have some fun.’Paparazzi were arranged to capture us and our family out in public in Rome outside the Colosseum together during the Christmas season.’However, Ekin’s mother disrupted our family outing publicly, creating a scene and making it impossible to continue.’I was extremely shocked and embarrassed by this and from nowhere we were suddenly arguing outside one of the most beautiful places in the world at Christmas time about something my partner and I hadn’t finished discussing yet.’This was the last straw for me in our relationship. I’m sure many will understand my exasperation with an overbearing mother-in-law. ‘However, that was not the main reason why our relationship really ended. The reason was Ekin, her personality, the fakeness, the lack of trust. There were always two different versions of Ekin. One at home with me and one for the public. I couldn’t tell how genuine she was during the relationship.’ During one explosive argument on the show, Davide famously branded Ekin-Su a ‘liar and an actress’ who was ‘as fake as the Louis Vuitton from China’ He said: ‘So, I stand by my previous descriptions of her as “a liar, an actress,” and “fake like a Louis Vuitton from China ” as they were clearly accurate’He concluded: ‘I was very supportive of her since day one. I felt like she was never real with me, and it was a working relationship. It was never a relationship, me and her. I had these doubts since the day we met on Love Island. It was very hard to cope and be in a relationship where I felt I was more emotionally invested in more than my partner.’I felt like she was just using me for fame and to make her look desirable. Having the moment, she had something to use to take me down and to lift her reputation up, she took advantage of it all by exposing it. If I was seeking attention, it was because I felt I was receiving artificial affection in my relationship. I am only human and have my faults. But I also deserved to have been treated fairly.’This is the last time I am going to address this drama or feed her need to try to destroy my reputation. It’s toxic. I moved on, I am in a healthy place in my life now and I wish her the best.’ MailOnline have contacted representatives for Ekin-Su for comment.  Ekin-Su first split from Davide in June 2023, but they reconciled just two months later, enjoying a romantic getaway to Turkey, where Ekin-Su’s parents hail from.Their relationship was previously marred by cheating rumours when Davide was seen leaving a party with two blondes in August 2022. Later, while filming their ITV2 show Homecomings, Ekin-Su said she saw pictures of Davide with girls on his phone. He claims she saw images of two blonde girls in his Manchester flat wearing his clothes. The television personality went on to claim Davide cheated on her with a girl called Harriet Wilson, with Harriet contacting Ekin-Su to tell her.Ekin-Su said that, at another time, Davide left his laptop open and she saw sexually explicit messages between him and a girl she herself had met on New Year’s Eve.She later admitted: ‘Seeing those messages broke something in me.’ The TV personality said she did not want to be embarrassed amid the cheating allegations so did her best not to react publicly – but she also wanted to protect Davide. He concluded: ‘This is the last time I am going to address this drama or feed her need to try to destroy my reputation. It’s toxic. I moved on, I am in a healthy place in my life now and I wish her the best’When she announced her split, Ekin-Su wrote in an Instagram statement: ‘The last 18-months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, just like every relationship.’Davide and I both wanted to make this work as we cared deeply for each other. Unfortunately I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways.’Breakups are never easy. For any couple. And we hope that our privacy will be respected. I enjoyed our time together and the memories we made.   ‘Thank you for your continued support. It’s been so lovely to have you follow our Love Island journeys together since the villa and we hope you’ll continue to follow our careers as we go off in our own directions. Love always, Ekin-Su.’
