Ahead of the semi-finals, 37 songs are competing at Eurovision 2024, which takes place next week in Malmö, Sweden.
Who will win Eurovision 2024? There were 37 countries on the starting line to claim to succeed the Swedish Loreen, winner last year with her song Tattoo. It is therefore naturally in Sweden, in Malmö, that the next edition of the European singing competition will be held, on Saturday May 11. To hope to reach this famous finals evening, the 37 candidates will have to pass the semi-finals test, divided into two parts.
Ten countries per semi-final will be qualified and will join the six nations already qualified: Sweden, the organizing country, and the famous “Big Five”, a very very private club of the biggest financial contributors which are Germany, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and France. On the big night of the Eurovision final, there will be 26 candidates hoping to create a surprise in front of millions of viewers. Including that of France, the singer Slimane, designated to carry the tricolor flag with his song Mon amour.
As in every edition, the representatives of each country competed in imagination, kitsch, effects and voices. Here is our judgment – developed in a completely subjective manner and without taking into account the bookmakers’ predictions – of the 26 countries qualified for the grand final of Eurovision 2024, in their order of appearance.
