the Poet and author, Ellen Deckwitz, it wants to be the Boekenweekgedicht for this year, a Rebel, a plea for freedom.

“well, Why would you need to give to the people you are asking,” What are you, anyway?” You also have the option to do something within the shopping environment, it is to keep up,” says Deckwitz (37), in Faith, in which her poem for you to read.

it was that thought That stems from the way in which Deckwitz look at life. “You see, in a sense, we walk on all event around. No one has asked the question: would you like to be born in this time, with these parents, at least, of these health. It’s life, it seemed to me, therefore, is always optional-every day you can choose whether you want it to exist.”

Deckwitz, which, inter alia, to the NRC, and in The Morning, writes, made for a period of time from the depression on. She realized then that her mother will never be over, it would come up if she was going to die.

“That’s the awareness that I am not dead, not out of free will, at least, got me to thinking: I have kind of a levensplicht. So, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t use any drugs, try out to ten kilometers a day to run. The unhealthiest thing I do every day is two liters of diet coke to drink.”

in The last two years, there has been Deckwitz “extremely happy,” she said. “Of course, there are some things that are sad, the voices, the spirit that is all over the street, and the Tax and customs administration, and the idiots in the house of representatives, but there is a kind of tranquillity about me.”

The Boekenweekgedicht is a part of national book week, which will be held from the 7th to the 15th of march, this year’s theme was Rebels and recalcitrant thinkers.
