Could New Star make a comeback on M6? While cult shows are resurfacing, like Star Academy on TF1, the question arises as to the return of tele-hook. For now, M6 is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its program with two event evenings, on Wednesdays 15 and 22 February. On the program, a string of former candidates from Nouvelle Star, under the eyes of the original jury, made up of Marianne James, Dove Attia, Manu Katché and André Manoukian.
An accomplished musician, the latter has distinguished himself in recent years in various broadcasts, on the radio or on television. Asked about the question of the show’s return to television on RTL on Saturday February 11, he replied: “We’re not going to do any waffling. I have the impression that if the anniversary ever gets a good score, it could be in the air (…) “There is an expectation from the public, but are they not going to be disappointed? I don’t know. There was a magic thing in Nouvelle Star, it was the Olympic Games with athletes and baltringues.
So, would André Manoukian re-sign as a juror for Nouvelle Star? “Must see”, he simply replied in the columns of Gala, on the occasion of the anniversary of the show. Before this hypothetical return, we will therefore still have to take our troubles patiently…
