American singer Billie Eilish signs a song from the soundtrack to the film Barbie, in theaters on July 19.

She had promised it, by surprise, on social networks: Billie Eilish unveils this Thursday the song What Was I Made For?, taken from the soundtrack of the film Barbie, with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, expected in theaters on Wednesday July 19 next. Two days before the release of this song and its clip, at 4 p.m. this Thursday, the American singer had announced her participation in the feature film directed by Greta Gerwig by publishing a first extract of the title on social networks.

“My brother and I did the song What Was I Made For? for Barbie and it means so much to me. This movie is going to change your lives and I hope this song will too. Prepare to sob,” Billie Eilish told its 109 million (!) subscribers in an Instagram post announcing the release of the song.

A true phenomenon of world pop, the singer Billie Eilish, at the height of her 21 years, has already signed (with her brother the artist Finneas O’Connell) a trailer which had been an immense success: that of the film James Bond , Dying can wait, baptized No Time to Die and crowned with the Oscar and the Golden Globe for the best original song in 2022. One more trophy for the one who has seven Grammy Awards.
