The messaging application WhatsApp suffered an outage this Wednesday, April 3. Users have difficulty logging in or sending and receiving messages.

Connections to WhatsApp have been impossible since the early evening of Wednesday April 3. An outage is currently in progress on the messaging service and social network belonging to Meta, the parent company of Facebook. The web version shows an error message: “Service unavailable. We are having problems connecting to WhatsApp. Please try again in a few minutes.”

Users of the app cannot send or receive messages. Calls are also impossible. Many users are reporting a breakdown, according to data from the specialist site DownDetector. On X (formerly Twitter), Internet users have also noticed these connection problems.
