The unions managed to mobilize against the pension reform on Tuesday, March 7. Thus, the CGT has identified 700,000 protesters in Paris, a record since the mobilization, while the police headquarters has counted 81,000.

The demonstration in Paris takes this Tuesday, March 7 a rather singular route, which is not very usual: the procession goes from the Sèvres-Babylone metro to the Place d’Italie, passing through the Montparnasse district, the Boulevard de Port- Royal then Avenue des Gobelins. The departure is scheduled at 2 p.m. precisely on Boulevard Raspail. No journey between Bastille and Nation, exit also the rally place of the Republic, which allows the unions to show the extent of the crowd.

“A traffic system will be set up around the event, between the boulevards Raspail, du Montparnasse, Port-Royal, Saint-Germain, de l’Hôpital, des Invalides, Auguste Blanqui, the avenues des Gobelins, de Choisy, d’Italie, d’Ivry, quai Saint-Bernard, place Valhubert as well as around place d’Italie, to overcome the difficulties encountered, as the procession progresses”, indicated the Paris police headquarters in a press release.
