Kate, who had received the COVID-19 vaccination, was to attend St. Paul’s Cathedral’s thanksgiving service in honour of the U.K.’s National Health Service. William instead attended the event by himself. On the same day, the Duke of Cambridge hosted the NHS Big Tea at Buckingham Palace.
William took part in the Royal Charity Polo Cup 2021 a few days later.
