March Madness is just a little bit over two weeks away. Some conference tournaments will start next week and some others will start up the week after. You can always bet on great teams to win it all, but they always need to have great players in order to cut down the nets come April in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This is also going to be the best time of the year in sports. The March Madness Bracket is going to be released on Sunday, March 12th. When the brackets come out, which players should we bet on to potentially carry their teams to a national championship?

Chet Holmgren, Gonzaga

There is a reason why Gonzaga is the favorite to win it all this year. They are currently at +350 money line to win it all on BetUS.  Holmgren is 7’0” and weighs 195 lbs. One thing you can’t teach in college basketball is height. His height and his skill set for a freshman is unreal.

Chet Holmgren is going to be one of the top picks in the 2022 NBA Draft, assuming he declares. He is currently averaging 14.7 PPG, 9.8 RPG, and 1.9 APG. Holmgren is also a defensive force. He is averaging 6.0 BPG and 3.0 SPG. Those stats are not normal for any college basketball player. His impact on both ends of the floor is going to matter come March.

Jabari Smith, Auburn

Jabari Smith has the Auburn Tigers in line for a potential number one seed in the NCAA Tournament. This could potentially be one of Auburn’s best teams ever because of him. Smith is a freshman and he also plays the forward position.

He is averaging 14.6 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 0.6 APG. Jabari Smith doesn’t make other people around him better, but he is a natural-born scorer and sharpshooter. Smith is shooting 42.5 percent from three-point land this year. Auburn is +750 on BETUS to win it all this year.

Benedict Mathurin, Arizona

The Arizona Wildcats have not been in line for a number one seed since the early 2010s. Arizona is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the NCAA Tournament. They are currently at +700 on BETUS to win it all in 2022.

Sophomore guard Bennedict Mathurin is one of the reasons why they are in this position. He is averaging 17.3 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 2.3 APG. This team can score the basketball with ease and Mathurin provides that instant offense for them game in and game out.

Jaden Ivey, Purdue

Jaden Ivey may be the most electrifying player that will be in the NCAA Tournament and might be the second-best player behind Chet Holmgren. Ivey is a player that can take over a basketball game at any instant.

He is currently averaging 17.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 3.1 APG. Purdue has a legitimate chance to cut down the nets. Their odds on BETUS is +800 to win it all. It doesn’t really matter if they wind up as a one seed or a two seed in the NCAA Tournament. They are good enough because of him to win it all.

Collin Gillespie, Villanova

Villanova might be a number three or a number four seed in the NCAA Tournament, but they have a player in senior forward Collin Gillespie who can take over games and score buckets for them. Experience matters for this Wildcats basketball team.

Villanova is +2000 odds to win it all on BetUS. They will be a team that no one wants to face in March because of it. Collin Gillespie is averaging 16.6 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 3.0 APG. He is going to be locked in for one final March Madness run. Gillespie could be the Donte DiVincenzo of 2018.
