Born in Abu Dhabi on march 11, 1961, Sheikh Mohammed was appointed crown prince of Abu Dhabi on the death of his father, in November 2004. In his strategic game, sheikh Mohammed can count on the wealth of Abu Dhabi, which holds 90% of the oil reserves of the Emirates, and the power of his family clan. What is the relationship of strength between the two men ? Some analysts believe that “MBZ” is the mentor of “MBS”, with whom he shared a deep hostility towards Iran and the muslim brotherhood.
Sheikh Mohammed would have also encouraged the policy of liberalization of saudi society led by the young prince of the dynasty of Al-Saud, whose image has been battered by a series of controversies. The two men were the architects of a ban on new diplomatic Qatar, in June 2017, for which they reproached for his support to the brotherhood of the muslim brotherhood.
