A novel measure in Spain. The Spanish province of Galicia will, from this Thursday, ban smoking in the streets and the terraces of coffee if it is not possible to respect a safety distance of at least two metres between the people. Objective : to try to curb the transmission of the new coronavirus.

The port of the mask can not be ignored “in order to smoke cigarettes, or electronic cigarettes, ( … ) on the public highway or in the open air, including the terraces, if it is possible to continuously maintain a minimum distance of two metres between the people,” said Wednesday night the official bulletin of the region of the North-West of Spain.
