According to The Guardian, the Metropolitan police of London would be in the viewfinder after the publication of two videos of the arrest.
Two incidents have put the police in London under the spotlight. The Metropolitan police is under pressure after the publication of a video published by The Guardian showing two officers call a black man in Hackney, in the east of the british capital. The two officers are filmed by a passer-by in the process of putting to-earth individual 18 years of age and give him a knee in the face while he screams “I do not resist”, “I did nothing”.
The young man was biking with two other youths when he was arrested on 22 April to 21 hours. According to the police, he was arrested when he refused to obey the orders of the police officers who were carrying out patrols in the area.
“An 18 year old man has been arrested for the purposes of a search for weapons,” said a spokesman quoted by The Guardian. “He was handcuffed and placed in the soil in order to mitigate any potential problem in case of presence of a weapon. After the end of the research, and no weapon has been found and the man was allowed to leave. He has not been arrested,” he added.

“The video of an arrest where force is used will of course comments and conversations within the local community. All police officers are fully aware that we will hold them to account for their actions,” responded Rob Atkin of the Metropolitan police, quoted by The Guardian.
