Hugo Zemmour, eldest son of Eric Zemmour, allegedly caused an accident after refusing priority to a scooter driving his car while he was intoxicated. The driver of the two-wheeler and his passenger were seriously injured and were transported to two hospitals. Their vital prognosis is not engaged. Hugo Zemmour was arrested and placed in police custody on Saturday May 6, according to information from the Parisian confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office. He is suspected of having caused this accident after consuming alcohol. The prosecution indicated that Hugo Zemmour had been placed in police custody for “involuntary injuries resulting in an ITT of more than three months, aggravated by alcohol levels and the manifest violation of a particular obligation of prudence or security”.
According to Le Parisien, the accident took place on Saturday May 6 around 7 a.m., at the corner of rue Cassette and rue de Vaugirard, in the sixth arrondissement of Paris. On Twitter, Jean-Pierre Lecoq, LR mayor of the 6th arrondissement, shared a photo of the spectacular accident. A car can be seen on a sidewalk, as well as scooter debris. At 25, Hugo Zemmour is the eldest son of the former presidential candidate. He studied law and obtained a master’s degree in the history of Africa, the Maghreb and the Middle East, reports RTL. In 2020, he was project manager for the Senate.
