DACIA JOGGER. The Dacia Jogger, a 7-seater crossover to replace both the Lodgy and the Dokker, was unveiled on Friday September 3. What is its size, price or release date? Here are the first pictures and info!

[Updated September 3, 2021 at 12:03 p.m.] Dacia unveiled on Friday September 3 the model that will be the star of its stand at the Munich Motor Show from September 6, the Dacia Jogger. For several years, Dacia has been preparing the replacement for its aging Lodgy minivan as well as its “Romanian Kangoo”, the Dokker. To stick to the trend of the pseudo-adventurer SUV, Dacia has decided and gives in to fashion while maintaining a family perspective with a 7-seater vehicle.

The Dacia Jogger thus completes the Dacia Duster SUV, star of the range of the Romanian brand of the Renault group, alongside the smallest versatile city car Dacia Sandero, renewed at the end of 2020. The Dacia Jogger is thus a crossover between a family sedan , station wagon and SUV. The front thus takes up many features of the latest Dacia Sandero while the rear can be more reminiscent of a station wagon, in particular by its optics close to what Volvo can do. The adventurer side is accentuated by the wheel arch protections, the front and rear skids under the bumper or the roof bars. Dacia also presents it as “a family vehicle perfectly suited to outdoor activities”.

Dacia therefore lifted the veil on September 3 on its new family vehicle, the Jogger. Here is a small summary of the first information available:

This will be one of the major challenges for Dacia, which intends to move upmarket on its larger models but must maintain its brand image at very attractive prices. The Dacia Jogger offer therefore promises to be aggressive with perhaps a hybrid entry ticket at less than 20,000 euros, which would be a real kick in the anthill of a booming hybrid vehicle market. .

The Dacia Jogger should take over a large part of the engines of the Dacia range, in particular those of the Sandero and the Duster. On the other hand, the Argus announced the arrival of a hybrid version via the 100 horsepower turbo petrol engines then via the 140 horsepower e-Tech engine already seen under the hood of the Renault Clio. This will not be the case at launch, but Dacia confirms the arrival of a hybrid model from 2023. In the meantime, the launch offer will be made with two petrol engines:

The Dacia Jogger will therefore be presented in Germany, at the Munich Motor Show from September 6, 2021. Its arrival in dealerships is logically expected for the beginning of 2022.
