Peter Johnson went from debt to financial fulfillment thanks to simple autographs and in particular that of a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.
As the Mirror explains, Peter Johnson, an avid autograph hunter, went from a £10,000 debt load to a lucrative million dollar business with his business idea. The name of the latter? Firma Stella. It offers fans the opportunity to buy souvenirs, signed jerseys, photos and other objects related to the world of sport. “I was chasing autographs and collecting stuff to sell…I started traveling around the world chasing stuff,” he told the Daily Courier.
But to reach the jackpot, you have to aim for the big names in sport, especially football. This is what the businessman did by focusing on Cristiano Ronaldo or even Lionel Messi. “Real Madrid were playing Manchester United and I found out about Ronaldo’s theft. I followed their bus from the airport to a hotel and quickly booked a room. I knew they were staying on the top floor and their team room was on the second floor I saw the elevator was on the top floor so I waited for it to come down No joke the first elevator that opened… imagine it, Ronaldo is right there! So I jumped up and he was like, ‘What is this?’ He signed some stuff and we went from there.”
From now on, the company offers objects from 10 to 5000 pounds. From football to MotoGP via basketball, the small business started from scratch, is now a nice empire employing dozens of employees.
