HELLFEST. After the 2024 dates announced and shifted to the end of June to probably accommodate a large group, half of the 4-day passes will go on sale this Tuesday, June 27, the other half in the fall.

[Updated June 23, 2023 at 6:38 p.m.] After the end of the 2023 edition, which brought together nearly 180 bands over 4 intense days, the organizers of the metal festival in Clisson revealed the dates for the 2024 edition. Hellfest: June 27-30, 2024, a fortnight later than usual… Why? Could it be to fit the schedule of a rock legend who’s never been to Hellfest before? Rumors have been swirling ever since the trailer for the upcoming Hellfest 2023 Sunday Night Final Fireworks Show featured the Hellfest “H” in lightning bolts, the same as AC/DC’s! But it could also be Rage Against The Machine, we’ve been hoping for a while too!

A first round of 4-day passes, a total of 30,000 (50%) will be on sale at the same price as this year, 329 euros, this Tuesday, June 27, 2023! You’ll have to log in at 1 p.m. on the Hellfest ticketing site! The other salvo will take place as usual around October.

Hellfest came to a close on Sunday, June 18, 2023 with the legendary Slipknot’s concert delivering an incendiary performance. The metal festival has once again found its audience, after a double edition in 2022, with the presence of genre heavyweights such as Pantera, Amon Amarth and Hatebreed. Fans also enjoyed energetic sets from Hollywood Undead, Ho99o9, Florence Black, and Do or Die.

Mainstage 2 featured acclaimed comedy and musical duo Tenacious D, who thrilled the crowd with their parodies and crazy rock. The Temple Stage was where folk and metal sounds met, with bands such as The Hu and Faun skillfully fusing age-old musical traditions with the energy of metal. Festival-goers were also able to enjoy performances by Finntroll, Myrath, Saor, Svalbard, Kalandra, White Ward and Nature Morte, for a unique musical experience.

The Altar Stage, meanwhile, presented emblematic groups of extreme metal. Meshuggah, known for his technical and avant-garde style, was the headliner of this scene. Fans could also enjoy performances from Voivod, Lorna Shore, Born of Osiris, Gorod, Loathe, Ten56, The Dali Thundering Concept and Pestifer, delivering an intense dose of devastating riffs and powerful grooves. The Valley Stage offered a psychedelic and stoner musical experience with bands such as Clutch, Monster Magnet, Earthless, The Obsessed, Stoned Jesus, Crowbar, King Buffalo, Spirit Adrift and Decasia. Lovers of heavy riffs and sound travel were served.

Finally, the Warzone Stage offered a dose of raw energy with bands such as The Ghost Inside, Rise of the Northstar, The Amity Affliction, Cane Hill, Paleface, End, Resolve and Beyond the Styx. The mosh pits and the pogos did not fail to vibrate this scene dedicated to hardcore and punk.

The great mass of metal which takes place on the lands of Clisson, a peaceful little town in Loire-Atlantique not far from Nantes, takes place over 4 days in 2024, from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 June 2024.

At Hellfest, we sometimes feel like we are growing wings in terms of clothing. Many festival-goers dare improbable looks, competing in imagination. Scottish kilts, possessed nun outfits, 10 foot long beards, diapers, superhero masks… But that’s not all:
