Yaxin is four years old and already a real little fighter. She is currently in a hospital in Beijing, and is being treated for leukemia. Like so many small children Yaxin had a desire to marry someday. It walked around her, of course, not a potential Partner for life, but the festive ceremony: to wear a great white dress to be the focus, with the whole family on it. A celebration of love. This desire was expressed by the girl, after it had survived a particularly harsh round of chemotherapy and the after-effects suffered.

As Yaxins family couldn’t promise that you will experience one day, as adults, to this day, she wanted to meet the little girl this dream now. And so “married” the brave little patient, perhaps, as the first four-year-old Betvole – but of course only symbolic. Her father, Yuan Dongfang, took on the role of the groom, walked in front of the sick-bed of the Small on the knee and handed her a small bouquet of flowers.
