Thomas Jolly, successful director in charge of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, does not rule out the idea.

The Paris Olympic Games ceremony promises to be memorable. At the head of the event, the young successful director, Thomas Jolly, noted for his staging of the musical Starmania, which won multiple awards in 2023, notably at the Molières where he won the musical show trophy but also the visual and sound creation.

Invited this Tuesday morning by Léa Salamé on France Inter, Thomas Jolly was questioned about the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, which will be held on July 26, 2024 on the Seine, in Paris. When asked about the French artists who could perform the show, Thomas Jolly suggested that a return of Daft punk, separated in 2019, could not be ruled out.

“It would be very happy if they were in this ceremony. We can’t not think of Daft Punk when we think of an international exhibition,” says the director. As for whether the most famous French duo in the world will be tempted by the invitation…
