The Office creator Stephen Merchant, is coming up with a comedyserie about community service, named to The Offenders. The six-part series is being developed by the BBC and Amazon, reports The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.
The Offenders are going to be about seven people, each with a different background, who live together in a community service, to be in England. At first, it seems everyone is in exactly one box, but only slowly does the viewer find out that the character in more scenes.
“The Offenders, it is a passieproject. My parents have worked in the past, in the taakstraffenwereld, and I found it to be very interesting is that all of the people with whom they had to deal with, but one thing is common to them: they are a crime had been committed,” said the 45-year-old Merchant, who also has a role to play in this series.
