The prosecutor’s office in Paris has asked an investigating judge to investigate the accusations of rape aimed Gérard Depardieu, who objected, after having initially filed without following the procedure, according to the public ministry.
To restart the investigation, the complainant, an actress of twenty years, had filed a complaint with constitution of civil part after this was discontinued in the spring of 2019. on Friday, the prosecutor’s office in Paris has taken the requisitions for information of the chief of rape, he said. It is now up to the investigating judge to decide whether it launches or not investigate, what he does in almost all cases. The lawyer Gérard Depardieu, Hervé Témime, has not wished to react.
In June 2019, the public prosecutor concluded its preliminary investigation at the end of nine months, explaining that “the numerous investigations carried out” have “not helped to characterize the offences denounced in all their constituent elements”.
