– Jørgen and his friends have been out on a cruise around South America and Cape Horn in two years. We agreed to keep together the last part of the journey, and headed north toward New York and in the direction of Canada. We rented bikes and walked around in an almost folketomt New York city, a ghost town, ” says Lien.

– Was refused to get in the country

your party was the whole time a little in advance of the strictest coronarestriksjonene, and had acted and come in the country. Now it was bikinis and swimwear replaced by woollen garments, termodresser and waterproof vindtøy.

the Trip went now on to Newport, and then to Newfoundland and the city of St. John’s.

” We got permission to bunkre and buy food, but didn’t get to go in the country. We took the opportunity to pull slightly on your legs and swim, but then got a telling off from the immigrasjonsmyndighetene.

Bikini against woollen garments

– We had to fall off and the bow pointed towards Africa, he says:

the Wind did not, and we got two weeks and three kulingperioder by storm in the castes. The waves were eight meters, and ten meters as the highest. We found it dramatically. A hatch to the baugpropellen loosened, and we feared that it could lead to water intake.

Soon at home again

Thomas Lien tells that it gave a certain security that there were two boats in his company. They were in værets violence now, but the wind turned so that they could add the course to Scotland. When the Newspaper talk with the Lien, they are soon through the scottish Caledoniakanalen.

– Now only remains sjarmøretappen, ” says a relieved and happy captain.
