Speaking out. Cassie Randolph addressed her ex-boyfriend Colton Underwood’s emotional coming out narrative after he revealed that he is gay on April 14.

“Before I get into anything, I just need to say thank you so much for all the kind comments and messages from you men,” the season 23 Bachelor winner, 25, said in a Thursday, April 22, YouTube tour of her house. “I really enjoy it. Concerning the subject from the media that brought up my name this week, I only wish to let you know that I’m not going to be further discussing it or commenting on it for the time being. There’s plenty of layers to it, and I just feel like the best thing for me at this time would be to move forward and just concentrate on going forward. So if I do decide in the future to say anything or make a comment in any way, you guys will be the first to know. However, for now, I only want to say thank you for all the kind messages, opinions and DMs.”

While Randolph”can’t respond” to every message, she noted,”I would like you to know I read them and I’m so grateful and I feel really loved and encouraged. I appreciate you guys a lot .”

The former reality star, who split from Underwood, 29, in May 2020, formerly took to Instagram to invite fans for considering her after the former NFL player’s big statement.

“Thank you everyone for the kind comments and messages. It means so much,” she composed alongside a link to her YouTube channel on April 16, via Instagram Stories. “And yes, some of you are inquiring about my YouTube for this week. I chose to take the week off, but will have one again next week!!”

“This year’s been a lot for a lot of people and it’s probably made a lot of people look at themselves at the year and figure out who they are,” he told Robin Roberts at the time. “I have hurried from myself for a long time, I have hated myself for quite a very long time. I am homosexual. I came to terms with that earlier this season, and the next step in all of this was kind of letting folks know. … I am the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. That means the world to me.”

During the sit-down, the Indiana native confessed his feelings to the Huntington Beach, California, native made it difficult to be honest about his sexual identity.

“I loved everything about her, and it’s hard for me to articulate just what my emotions were in going through that connection with her because I clearly had an inner fight happening,” Underwood clarified. “I’d just say that I am sorry from the bottom of my heart. I’m sorry for any pain and emotional stress I caused. I wish it would not have happened the way that it did. I wish I had been brave enough to mend myself until I broke anybody else.”

“She wasn’t made aware beforehand that he was likely to be about GMA doing a tell-all,” the insider said. “To be truthful, she hasn’t had the time to navigate the way she feels about it .”

This day, the speech pathology student took a break from her everyday daily and went on a tropical holiday with her family.

She shared glimpses of the opinion from the hotel in Cozumel, Mexico, on April 15, along with photographs of her younger brother sipping coffee as they walked the land together.
After meeting on The Bachelor at 2019, the group continued to date for at least a year before their May 2020 breakup. After the split, Randolph filed a restraining order against Underwood, who she claimed was stalking and harassing her, but the situation had been dropped in November 2020.

Us only reported in January which Randolph was prepared for a”fresh start” after the pair’s public separation.

“Cassie just wants to proceed in life with things she’s going on such as settling in to her new place,” a source told Us at the time. “She definitely does not want to bring her up again.”
