Officials from Memphis in May made Monday’s announcement.

DaBaby and Modest Mouse will also be performing.

In February, the entire roster of over 60 artists will be revealed.

The 2022 Beale Street Music Festival runs from April 29 through May 1 at Liberty Park. Due to renovations, Memphis in May will not be able to use Tom Lee Park as its usual home.

The Foo Fighters will be making their third festival headliner appearance. They previously performed at the festival in 2000 and 2004. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers last performed in Memphis in 2018, to a sold out crowd at FedExForum.

BEALE STREET Music Festival: Five memorable shows from the Bele Street Music Festival

Due to the pandemic, Beale Street Music Fest was not held in 2020 and 2021. Many artists, including the headliners Smashing Pumpkins, Lil Wayne, Buckingham, DaBaby, and Three 6 Mafia, were originally scheduled for 2020. Weezer, The Lumineers and other 2020 acts were not able be rescheduled this year for the festival.

The 2022 lineup features Foo Fighters, a top-ranking rock band. Beale Street Music Fest organizers hope to attract fans back to the festival, which has been a Memphis staple ever since the late-1970s.
