Bushnell, 32, said exclusively to Us Weekly Tuesday, March 15, as she promoted her new Sonoma Goods For Life(r), x Lauren Lane Collection at Kohl’s. I was really upset that Clayton did that [to Susie Evans]. You know what, the week before last week I felt terrible. I was like, “What are you doing?”
The Oregon native got engaged to Ben Higgins in the season 20 finale in 2016 . She explained that her outlook has changed about Clayton’s current situation.
Bushnell said that Clayton communicated well, even though he wasn’t perfect. He also spoke out about his decision to tell Rachel Recchia, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, that he was not “intimate” during the fantasy suite dates. “Because it was a very important detail that he didn’t include. He loved the most and should have included this aspect.
Part 1 of The Bachelor Finale on Monday, March 14,, saw the Missouri native, 28 years old, introduce the final two women to his family. But he did not tell the finalists, but told his family that he was still in love with Susie 28 years after her departure one week earlier.
While Bushnell was ambivalent about Clayton’s handling of his emotions in the last few episodes, she explained Us she believed it was “really respectable” for him to share the entire fantasy suite situation with the women and allow them to make the final decision as to their futures.
The designer called off her engagement with Higgins in May 2017 and explained that this wasn’t the case during her season.
“I know that I wasn’t given the same information on my season before making a big decision,” Bushnell said to Us. “And that was the problem I had very much so coming out of the show,” Bushnell said. “I just felt like I made a huge decision in the absence of information that I feel I deserved.”
Former reality star, who now shares 9 month-old son Dutton, with the 37-year-old country singer, said that she felt “a bit tricked” when she accepted Higgins’ proposal.
“Everyone had the opportunity to tell [me], whether it was the producer or the lead of show, but no one told me,” she said. She also suggested that Higgins told her and JoJo Fletcher that that he “loved them” before the finale. “I felt very bummed out, and that’s an awful place to begin a relationship. It’s difficult to build a relationship if you don’t have a solid foundation.
, a former flight attendant, doesn’t regret her time in Bachelor Nation. Clayton will still benefit from her advice, even if he is single.
“All these experiences, including my experience on Bachelor, completely prepared me and led to where [I] am today.” Bushnell said that he wanted to “be” the same person he was when he met me. He should keep that in mind, and know that the hard and low times will make you stronger and can hopefully help you find your future wife.
Both her personal and professional lives have changed a lot since she was a TV personality. For her Sonoma Goods For Life(r), x Lauren Lane line she recently teamed with Kohl’s. It launched Monday, March 21.
“I couldn’t be more excited. It’s so easy to wear, Bushnell said Us about the collection. It’s an easy and great way to add some color to your wardrobe. I was once the queen of neutrals. [But] I feel like I have started to add more color to my closet and it’s been great fun.”
