Journalist Grégoire Margotton and former footballer Bixente Lizarazu will be associated to comment on the matches of the France team broadcast on TF1 during the Women’s Euro in England (July 6-31), the private channel announced on Monday. The group based in Boulogne-Billancourt praised Monday the “exceptional device” deployed this summer during the European Championship, which it co-broadcasts on French screens with Canal .
It will broadcast fourteen matches, including all of those of the France team: nine from the first round (the three of Les Bleues on TF1 and six other posters on TMC), two quarter-finals (including that of Les Bleues in the event of qualification ), the semi-finals and the final also on TF1. In addition to the star duo Margotton-Lizarazu, a second pair of commentators will be formed by Sabrina Delannoy, former player and current director of the PSG foundation, and journalist Julien Maynard.
Denis Brogniart will present the post-match magazine with, alongside him, OL assistant coach Camille Abily, ex-footballer Nadia Benmokhtar and a women’s football specialist, Romain Balland. The Canal group, another broadcaster in France, will offer all of the 31 matches in the competition.
Les Bleues matches will be broadcast on its main channel, as well as the semi-finals and the final in particular. Most of the other posters will be on Canal Sport and the rest on Canal Décalé. The encrypted channel will notably offer a daily program, “Destination Wembley”, with images of “all the highlights” of the day.
