Drake recently gave his fans a glimpse of the NBA-size basketball court at his extravagant $100 million Toronto mansion. The famous “One Dance” singer posted a video on Instagram over the weekend where he was playing Stake’s online betting game on a large flatscreen TV inside the luxurious sports room.
In the video, Drake can be seen lying down in the middle of the court before jumping up and celebrating his win. The 37-year-old music superstar captioned the post with, “HUNNNNNNNNDRED 😈 I’ll get my racks up anywhere even centre court.”
According to a 2020 interview with Architectural Digest, Drake’s mansion, known as The Embassy, features an NBA regulation-size basketball court that is crowned by a 21-square-foot pyramidal skylight. The lavish 50,000 square-foot home was designed by Canadian architect and interior designer Ferris Rafauli to exude “overwhelming high luxury.”
The “modern Art Deco” mansion boasts 40-foot ceilings, a limestone entryway, and exotic wood floors. Drake shared that he wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years and have a monumental scale and feel since he was building it in his hometown.
In July, Drake’s mansion experienced flooding due to torrential rain in the Toronto area. The rapper shared a video on Instagram where he was seen walking in ankle-deep rainwater inside the house while jokingly hoping for an Espresso Martini.
Just two months before the flooding incident, Drake’s mansion was broken into by an individual who claimed to be there to see Drake. The man attempted to access the rapper’s gates but was confronted by security and apprehended under the Mental Health Act by the Toronto Police.
Despite these incidents, Drake’s luxurious Toronto mansion continues to be a symbol of high luxury and extravagance, complete with a stunning NBA-size basketball court that reflects his love for sports and entertainment.
