The Palmashow is back this Friday, March 17, 2023 to present new sketches on the show “Ce soir, c’est Palmashow” on TF1. We explain the name of the comic duo.

The Palmashow signs its return to television this Friday, March 17, 2023. The comic duo made up of Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais is releasing a new round of unpublished sketches, broadcast on TF1 on the show Ce soir, c’est Palmashow 2. The duo comic will unveil new humorous and parodic pastilles in the presence of many guests, from Valérie Lemercier to Pio Marmaï, including Florence Foresti, Alain Chabat, Jean-Paul Rouve, Blanche Gardin, Benoît Poelvoorde, Eric Judor and Jean-Pascal Zadi .

But by the way, why is the comedy duo called that? It is a contraction between the word “Palmarès”, which is also the name of Grégoire Ludig’s former rap group and the word “show”, a nod to the world of entertainment and sketches. And since 2002, when the duo was created, the husband of Marie Portolano and David Marsais have never changed names for their joint projects! We will also find them soon in Jonathan Barré’s film Good Conduct, scheduled for release on March 29, 2023.

The Palmashow made its debut on the Internet before launching on television in 2010 with The Mad History of the Palmashow. Subsequently, the Very Bad Blagues were broadcast from 2011 to 2012, before the broadcast of other programs on Canal and D9 such as Palmashow, the show and La Folle soirée du Palmashow and its sequels. In 2019 and 2023, two premium events, Ce soir c’est Palmashow, are broadcast on TF1. Several of their sketches are available on the Youtube page of the tandem of comedians. It should also be noted that the Palmashow parody songs are now all available for streaming on the Spotify platform.

The Palmashow is not only sketches, but also several films at the cinema. Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais star in two films they wrote themselves and which are directed by their friend Jonathan Baré: The Crazy Story of Max and Léon in 2016 and Les Vedettes in 2022. If Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais have been able to pursue solo cinematic adventures on several occasions, they are regularly found in duets, often in supporting roles. In 2013, they played Marco and Olivier in the film Les Gazelles. They have also been seen in Les Francis (2014), Babysitting (2014), Santa et cie (2017), Adieu les cons (2020), Mandibles (2020) and Good Conduct (2023).
